Today we read again from John’s Gospel, chapter 9, the story of Jesus healing the blind man. It is ultimately a story of conversion and faith. The Pharisees claim to see, and yet they are blind to the true identity of Jesus. Jesus restores sight to the man born blind, who grows in understanding his experience from recognizing Jesus simply as another man, to claiming he is a prophet, and ultimately coming to believe in him as the Son of Man.

May this Lenten journey be a source of grace for us to recognize the areas of darkness in our own spiritual life, indeed in our worldly practice, and come fully into the Light of Christ, who gives us fulness of life.

Here is today’s Mass and Homily.
