I celebrated Mass today with the Sisters of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus who live and work here in Anchorage.  (Pictured left from a previous visit.)

Before we began, they asked me to offer the Mass for the six sisters from their community who were kidnapped in Nigeria  several weeks ago.

Even though we have our own challenges here in the US, we fail to realize the day-to-day sacrifices and challenges faced by so many in the world today.  There are so many refugees looking for a safe place to live, and the numbers of people being persecuted for their faith is on the rise.

Please join me and these faith-filled women in praying for their sisters safe return.

Please find below the names of the Sisters abducted from the Convent in Nigeria:

-Sr Aloysius Ajayi
-Sr Frances Udi
-Sr Roseline Isiocha
