During this Christmas Season, we are familiar with the story of the holy family, who fled a King who sought to take the life of their newborn son, Jesus. They were forced to leave their homeland, family and friends for their own safety.
Sadly, many today live in similar circumstances of fear and uncertainty, fleeing their homelands searching not only for a better life, but for the safety of their family members. With the present circumstances of many of our people in mind, the Bishops of the State of Washington have issued a statement which not only expresses our care and concerns for migrants, immigrants and refugees, but calls for all people of good will to support them.
You can find the statement in both English and Spanish below. Please help spread this message to those who will find encouragement in their time of distress.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, Pray for us.
