In recent weeks it has been possible to once again begin visiting parishes, priests, schools, etc. While I had to cancel once school visit recently, I was able to visit O’Dea Catholic High School in Seattle as well as make a visit to Holy Names Academy, also in Seattle. It is always a joyful occasion to spend time with our young people! I was also asked to bless Holy Names new athletic center which is named in honor of a lovely lady, Jean Marie Lee, at the conclusion of the visit.

I’m sorry I did not get any pictures from the visit to O’Dea, but the ladies at Holy Names documented the visit quite well! Many thanks to Ben VanHouten for the fine photos.

In addition to the school visits, we are in the heart of Confirmation season, which means celebrating Mass in many different parishes. One thing I am really enjoying is the opportunity to share a meal with the local priest(s) as well. I’ve most recently visited St. Joseph in Ferndale, Assumption in Bellingham, St. Benedict and Our Lady of the Lakes in Seattle, St. Nicholaus in Gig Harbor, and this weekend I am in Vancouver for celebrations here the next two days.

Finally, please keep praying for all our pastoral leaders and parishioners who are in transition these days. Here is a picture of just two of them. Fr. Bryan Dolejsi, outgoing Vocation Director and Pastor to St. Benedict and Marti Lundberg, who is leaving as the PAA at St. Benedict. Two fine servants of the Church!
