Once again, today we are encouraged by the Prophet Hosea to return to the Lord. God desires love, not burnt offerings. God wants us to seek him above all else. The Psalm (51) today reminds us that God desires mercy, not sacrifice.

Jesus through his passion and death on the cross replaced the former covenant practice of burnt offerings and sacrificing lambs. His total self-offering as the Lamb of God is our new and eternal covenant with God.

Jesus in his person is the ultimate expression of love and mercy.

You are invited to watch today’s Mass and listen to the homily:

You and your intentions hold a dear place in my heart and prayers!
