Today’s readings as our Easter celebration continues may be one we need to pay careful attention. In our growing secular world, I’ve often wondered why the Gospel no longer seems to have the power to attract… My prayer this morning tells me I’ve been asking the wrong question…

Why do hearts of many today remain hardened towards the Gospel proclamation?

Where is our own witness (of the baptized) lacking?

How have other things taken priority of Jesus and His Gospel?

When have we remained silent in the face of a world that communicates they do not want to hear about Jesus?
