Rev. John Wright; Rest in Peace

Fr John Wright- John Anthony Wright was born in Corpus Christi Texas on November 25, 1931, the adoptive son of Fred and Pauline Gilmore. When he was 10 years old he began spending weekends and summers at a large family Ranch owned by the Gallagher’s. This family became his 2nd family. His time spent with the Gallagher’s on their ranch convinced him that rural life was what he wanted and needed. It was this attraction to rural life that eventually brought him to Wyoming. Wrapping Up Another Road Trip

After the parish visitation to St. Anthony in Cody, there was a Confirmation at St. Barbara in Powell Sunday evening. We confirmed twenty eight young people from both St. Anthony and St. Barbara.  A parishioner in Powell hosted the clergy before Mass for a lovely dinner.  These moments always give us a good opportunity to visit, and in this case, to enjoy the hospitality of a family.  Following Mass we made our way back to St. Anthony for the night.  Monday morning, the Wyoming Council of Catholic Women gathered from around the state for an […]
