This morning, the ladies of the parish provided a scrumptious pitch in breakfast and then we had time for a nice visit. This afternoon, I had lunch and a great discussion with some of the youth of the parish. At each of these gatherings, there were representatives from Big Piney and LaBarge as well.

In the break between the two gatherings, Fr. Lucas drove me around the area to try to find some moose.  We saw three moose yesterday morning on the way to Boulder, and this afternoon, we saw five.  We also saw about six elk.  This part of the state is blessed with great habitat for much of the wild game.  It is another beautiful day here, with milder temperatures, clear blue skies, and little wind.

This evening, we had a full church for the 5:30 Mass.  The people were glad to gather for Mass with the bishop, but I think they more excited about the pitch in dinner that was to follow Mass!  We had a “wild game feed”, and what a menu!  Fr. Lucas is doing a fine job building “community” here at Our Lady of Peace, and the people clearly enjoy each other’s company.  It is a wonderful parish, in a beautiful part of the diocese.
