Today’s Reading from the Prophet Isaiah uses nature as a means of teaching us that God’s Word is the true sustenance of human life. The Prayer Jesus taught his disciples relays the same message, that our daily bread is the holiness of God, the kingdom of God, the will of God.

‘Eating’ God’s Word and praying as Jesus taught us sustain and nourish our life in God.

As we renew this relationship with God through our Lenten journey and practices, we learn the heart of God is mercy. Thus, as we receive the mercy of God, we are prepared to live justly, forgiving others who have sinned against us.

Please listen to the Word of God and the homily from today’s Mass. Let God’s Word live in you, accomplish the work for which it is sent!

Peace,
